Unfortunately for him, his old life and the corruption that is deep within the government are coming back to haunt him, and this time it is in the form of past allies and friends. Even worse, as Dat is pushed even deeper into the situation he slowly starts to discover that more than his well being is at stake. Civilization is at a crossroads and the forces arrayed against it are preparing to make their big play. At the center of this evil is a creature of myth, thought to be purely fictional, a vampire.
