The devils of Hell attempted to kill Cyrus, their attempt failed but his fiancé Liz was murdered. His best friend Henry, was recently killed by a succubus who posed as his girlfriend, Olivia. She was close to finishing Cyrus off before she was defeated by the angels, Sammy and Ariel. Cyrus chose to accept their help and to listen to their explanations. Cyrus must choose for himself how to live amongst angels and the devils who want him dead. It's not as clear as it would seem though as a mysterious devil speaks with Cyrus and informs him that not all devils are evil, and that not all angels are kind.
