When Ian Kennedy and his family relocate from a semi-detached house in Suburban Bromley in Kent to an Elizabethan Cottage in Rural Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, they anticipate a more relaxed lifestyle. That is until they discover that a previous occupant of Rose Cottage is still making her presence known, nearly 400 years after being hanged as a witch.Her appearance, on their first night in their new home, prompts Ian's teenage son and daughter to try to find out why Alice Clegg is still in residence, and what it is that she is searching for.
