Maxwell is a farmer and teacher whose devotion to his wife and students is admired by all. But he is a poor, unambitious man undeserving of their daughter's love to his wealthy in-laws, and a man with a mysterious past to his wife. When his new born son disappears and the serene life he had created for himself torn to shreds, Maxwell is caught between his past, a forbidden attraction, and an occultic serial killer. To save his son and protect the small town he calls home, he must disband the occult before his son becomes another notch in the bed post of a blood thirsty killer.
