Overview

What happens when plants are tired of being the harvested? In Dalton Primeaux's sophomore horror novella, anxiety-ridden Carr Williams arrives in Big City to launch his career, climbing the ladder in the city's strange and fascinating fashion industry. But his professional journey is abruptly interrupted when all the plants in the city start physically attacking and slaying the citizens of Big City. Carr and his best friend Fred must not only survive the brutal Big City fashion world but also a terrifying, grizzly phenomenon.Whipped is Stylish, Fun, and Really Creepy. On the verge of science fiction, but horror nonetheless, Whipped explores themes of anxiety, drug use, and relationships. Nostalgic for millennials who grew up reading children's horror books, but written with young adults and adults in mind.Tales from Beyond the ClosetThese darkly humorous tales celebrate LGBTQIA+ culture, address societal terrors, while blending the whimsy of children's horror with adult themes and unforgivable carnage. Each story introduces an inclusive and highly relatable cast of characters, along with imaginative plotlines that occasionally tip into the realm of the absurd. From haunted coffee tables to a menacing seven-year-old and ravenous plants, every tale is saturated with blood, gore, and sly social commentary. While often infused with humor, these books consistently induce nightmares, ensuring that they will linger in your thoughts well into the night and perhaps prompt a call to your therapist the next morning.Dalton Primeaux decided back in 2019 to add a little blood and gore to his once predominately fashion-focused writing repertoire with his first novelette, Daddy, Why Are You Biting Me?, which reached #3 on Amazon’s best sellers list in LGBT fiction in September of 2019. The story was re-released in 2020. His LGBTQIA+ horror collection Don't Be a Wuss! kicked off with Wood released in December 2020 and Whipped in June 2021.
