Beth Lazinski had felt at unease in their new home from the very beginning. And, once hearing about her daughter Anna's new friend, Mary; she knew their lives would never remain in peace as long as they remained living there in that house. The town of Beaver Ridge - formerly Woodland Falls; which name was changed after the serial killings - is a cauldron of political conspiracies and cover ups. And, the Lazinski's home is the epicenter of all the turmoil; originating back to the night of the final murder...the night when Mary and her family were supposedly brutally slaughtered in that house. But, as Beth looks into the matter, and attempts to make sense of the situation; her answers become convoluted from differing testimonies of various survivors, politicians and spirits which reach out to both Beth and Anna. What makes matters worse; some of the spirits which are reaching out to them are later identified to be individuals who had suffered from schizophrenia while alive. So, Beth has no idea what to believe. Things become dire when Mary abducts Anna, and gives Beth a set time limit to help her achieve her sinister goal...or else, Anna will be gone forever. Now, Beth and the others must scramble about in a furious attempt to figure out how to rescue Anna before time runs out. But even then; nothing can assure their safety from Mary's wrath. For, Mary is a spirit with an unquenchable vengeance who needs to be stopped. The problem is, in order to stop her...Beth needs to figure out who Mary really was while alive.
