Good evening. Come, come in. Get out of the rain. What a nasty night. Here, let me take your coat. I’ll just put it here in the clos— On second thought, maybe I’ll just hold onto it for you. It’s better if that particular closet door is kept closed. Come, there’s a fire going in the library. I need to tell you a few things before you start exploring. Whoops! Mind the cobwebs there. I have no idea what kinds of spiders live in this place, but I’m pretty sure they’re not your average, everyday house spiders. So… you’ve come to explore Haunted House, have you? You like being scared? Well, you’ve come to the right place then. I have to warn you, though. Haunted House has a lot of rooms. It’s easy to get lost, and once you’re lost inside Haunted House, there is no getting out. Feel free to explore, but keep in mind that I am merely the caretaker. What you find inside is entirely your own risk to take. And I shouldn’t have to say this, but do not—I repeat, do not<-i>—touch anything, engage anything in conversation, or look anything straight in the eye. Do not scream, cry, whimper, or make any other kinds of noises that might alert anything to your presence. If any of the things in any of these rooms get into your head, it will take years of therapy and exorcism to get them out. This is no ordinary Haunted House. Each room is different, and the insidious things inside of each room have all crawled out of their own separate graves. Not all of them are dangerous. Some of them simply like playing pranks on you. And some of them… some of them will do everything in their power to drag you back to the grave with them. But hey, you knocked.A few other things I should tell you before you enter. Flashlights have a funny way of blinking out at the worst possible moment, so try to keep your eyes adjusted to the dark as best as possible. If you hear something slithering, watch your step. You will be on your own in there, I cannot help you. The mind has a funny way of betraying you, so don’t let it wander too far. And finally, if you find yourself in trouble, if the rooms become too much for you or if you become hopelessly lost, fear not. You won’t be able to escape, but there are plenty of empty rooms just dying to be occupied.Right then, off you go. I’ll be here in the library by the fire. May you find whatever thing it is you came here for, and may whatever that thing is have mercy on your soul…
