a series of short stories about the weird and the wonderful - intended to titillate and tease those parts of the imagination which most people didn't even know they had. 1 - The thoughts of soaring Syd. A young Peregrine Falcon escapes from his captors at a country fair, with hilarious consequences. 2 - Arthur's comeuppance - A snobbish middle aged pretender gets egg on his face after his wife gets fed up of him trying to be something he isn't. 3 - Sarah's tree - Set in 1941 A young girl escapes with her life during the Sheffield blitz after being evacuated to an isolated farmhouse and treated like a slave, thanks to an unforeseen circumstance. 4 - After the Darkness - A desperately crippled WW 1 veteran who develops dementia and makes it his mission to find his wife whom he thinks has left him and gone to live with her sister. 5 - Killing Simmo - An ex special forces soldier confronts the man who he's convinced set him up on an undercover intelligence gathering operation in Northern Ireland. 6 - Emily's mum - A young mans dreams come crashing back to earth after he meets the girl of his dreams when she throws a party at pub where he works. 7 - Ronni's revenge - A downtrodden wife finally plucks up enough courage and gets her revenge when she catches her husband cheating yet again. 8 - The Donkey's Tale - Two down on their luck truckers think all their birthdays have come at once when they get offered a dream job delivering caravans to a camp site near St. Tropez in South of France. But of course they try to do it on the cheap with chaotic consequences.
