Overview

The Pantheon has descended to intervene on behalf of the Eastern Empire against Lord General Vorenys. After taking over the nation of Coronda, the Lord General pushes against the northern lands with the final vestige of his people. The populace has used all their resources, and the war brings them to the front.Victoria, the Empress of the East, has joined the Imperial forces on the field. With the enemy coming upon them, she seeks to create a new alliance with the people of Thruum, taking them away from Vorenys' army. By using previous events, she hopes to use her diplomatic prowess to bring them to her side. But something is present around her. A familiar feeling of darkness has visited, and they're not backing down. Julius Trium, the commander of all Imperial forces, uses what he can to entrench himself to receive the Lord General and uses his strategic mind for a new strategy. Instead of relying on might in numbers, he chooses to create a controlled retreat to draw Vorenys out until such a time when he's confident in making his final stand. But his numbers are deteriorating due to a mystical force slaughtering his people in the night. When a malicious voice carries upon the air, he knows that destruction is nigh. Nemo is coming to grips with his title as Alpha of the Eagle as this war begins to slow. The prophecy states that he could meet his end just by participating in this fight, but he must serve the Meridian and its people. And so, the Alpha of the Eagle pushes forward, using his heavenly power to fight against the warlord coming upon their lands. These actions begin to turn his mind towards reckless exploits that not only endanger him but the soldiers he serves. And with the Black Phoenix sealed in the Casket of the Carpenter, problems arise. Anyone who had contact with the creature is being questioned and their allegiances are put to the test. The war has come to a state of paranoia while the pantheon seems to be sitting on their hands. By only offering advice to the fighting force, military intelligence begins to wonder where the loyalties of the gods lie. And since they've declared this to be a celestial war, no known definition could help the Empire in that regard. And in the end, the final stand will be met by a familiar face, but not a welcome one.
