Cheveyo Espinosa has always been the town outcast. An accident when he was eight years old left his face and body badly burned and led to his mother drinking herself into a mental institution and his father walking out. While swimming in a remote, volcanic lake he discovers a clue that he believes will lead him to the body of Ty Nobles, a missing kid whose parents offered a million dollar reward to whoever finds him.
