THE BOATS OF THE GLEN CARRIG (1907) A passenger on the ship GLEN CARRIG strikes a hidden rock. What follows is the story of the survivors who escaped the wreck in two lifeboats. The Ghost Pirates (1909) Described as: ""a powerful account of a doomed and haunted ship on its last voyage, and of the terrible sea-devils." ABOUT THE AUTHOR English author William Hope Hodgson (1877–1918) wrote horror stories and science fiction, using his experiences at sea to lend detail to his tales, many of which are set on the ocean. His novels such as The Night Land and The House on the Borderland feature cosmic themes, and several others focus on horrors associated with the sea.
