Beginning in the Bronx in the late 1960’s, two very different people connect with each other for reasons neither could explain. One of them becomes a victim while the other begins a journey that originates deep in her past. Almost ten years later, a nine year old Calton “Cal” Johnson is attacked and falls into a coma. When he regains consciousness six years later, not only is the world around him different, but he is different as well. Detective Patrick Stetson finds himself hunting for a merciless sadistic killer who leaves nothing behind but the gore of mounting bodies. Cal Johnson starts to fall for a young woman that lives close by, and when she is hurt, he finds himself seeking revenge the only way he knows how.
