Overview

Who's not happy to be scared by a chilling story? The presence of the absentees, the unmasked horizon of the paranormal haunt the curious mind of yesterday, today and or tomorrow. Often a normal story has a surreal component which we accept as a great work of a masterpiece.. More often than not some plots are shrudded in mystery salted with peeper and vice. Some so called ghost stories become sullen and gross some others bear a hint of violence without a real black magic. Traditional horror stories are chilly yet predictable either dissolving in moonlit nothingness or ending in a demystified comedy. But this collection is a glorious exception. Not because of the authors selected as a whole but because of the skill of writing or the choice of their work selected by the editor. This is the first book of a series of some best stories with some famous names like Balzac & Baldwin, Coleridge & Collins, Dickens & Crawford to add variety of taste & nuances. M.R. James & R Kipling, Maupassant & Allan Poe, Pushkin & Oscar Wilde are great story tellers to add spice to this carnival of unseen terror. Dracula famed Bram Stoker or Freeman invite readers to face the fate of the 12th guest. Some of the writers are established poets, so we expect the poetic illogic to make a logical turnaround over the mystic overtones. Finally the success of a book is inversely proportional to the negativity of thought or the buried hypochondriasis of the victim. Hopefully the readers will find a suitable ambience to go back to the time of the story & can relate the experience with his/her underlying subconscious castle of horror & fear ... and enjoy the perilous journey.
