Foreword My mother was a Queen. She was a brutal and merciless queen. Some of her kind murdered her, and returned her back into Ashes. They believed her destroyed, but did not realize that the ashes that consumed her was from which she came, and so shall another. They did not realize that their queen's spirit could not be cinched. The spirit within her was as old as time, and had survived since the dawning of their kind. Their queen's cinched ashes found me, Chose me, and thus, created me. I am my mother's daughter, aroused from her ashes. She is with me always; guiding who I am to become, the next destined Queen. She will outlive those, That think her destroyed, as her mother did before her, and her mother before hers, all chosen by the ashes. I am my mother's daughter, and I promise that my mother will continue to see another dawning, the dawning of our own Country. And she will see the destruction, Of those whom hath betrayed her. But she will also have to accept a new way. You see, my mother was a killer and she didn't just kill to feed. She killed because she desired it. I disagree with the old ways. Our kind, don't have to kill, especially for food. We don't have to make suffering and death our way. Of course, I shall make those that have turned my queen mother, into ashes, suffer. But none others, if I can help it. My rule shall be, in the way, of a country. A country of our own. My mother will see the birth of a vampiric nation. VARCKYA Of course she doesn't agree with me, but she supports my decision. A queen that has never backed down is willing to support her only daughter, because she knows, that it is MY time. I am not yet a Queen. I am merely a princess, however, I hopeto be queen, someday. As soon as I can control the one, that I will make king. That is difficult, because he has it in him to kill all those that I have loved. It is only through my dreams that I know him. But when I wake, I am left with the one who slaughters those that I hold dear. So you see, I am in a painful predicament. My queen mother, think that I should kill all those that are human. And I am faced with a betrothal that is doing just that, killing all the humans, especially the ones I hath loved. What they both, must learn, Is that, it is my time, and I alone shall rule. And they must adhere to my Will. It is not I, who must adhere to theirs. I didn't ask to be chosen. But I was.
