Overview

Since George Romero's Night of the Living Dead came out in 1968, the world of zombies has been defined as one in which the lumbering dead shamble about in search of brains. Spectacle PMG has dug a little deeper to stretch the genre and bring you tales of the dead from across town and across the centuries. Scatter through bitter mountain passes with what remains of Napoléon's legion, hunt an unseen horror in the darkest hour of the frontier night, and test your sword against an undead horde in defense of your plague-ridden realm. But one need not look back over hundreds of years to find the dead among us; what about that posh dinner party in Manhattan or the man who just passed you on the street? You will find that these things, too, are not what they seem. This collection will show you what the history books left out, as well as what lurks in a town much like yours today. "When the first church knight was bitten, he used his body as a shield to protect the other two, fighting on and taking the claws and bites meant for them. He was eaten alive while he fought. The second knight was bitten, but in a moment of respite, he fell upon his own sword. He stood again a few moments later, and Grehle stove in his skull with her anointed mace." And so it might have been during the plague years, a Darkest Age. This is one of many visions Spectacle PMG brings to you in a collection focusing on zombie tales and cannibal comforts. Step into these pages and you will find that the history books might be hiding something. So, too, might be the courteous neighbor down the street. With prize winning stories from Nick Pugliese and Yen Ooi you can light a candle and enjoy well-rounded and genre bending evenings of horror.
