Midnight Candles is a collection of stories published over the years in some weird and wonderful magazines. There’s a tale of children left for dead and their struggle for survival, and then a story about an old rocker trying to save the world from alien lizards. A famous NASCAR champ comes back from the dead to save the butt of a young, racing upstart, and a boy finds himself in the strangest school he’s ever seen. Not to mention we get to see what happened when the world was destroyed…the first time. There is an encounter with a creature that doesn’t know it’s extinct and at last, we meet the meanest mean-girl on the whole planet. What ties the tales together is the step they take into the dark. Some notice the candles and have hope. Others…
