Blake is an outlaw loved only by his wife. Melina is a lonely woman abandoned by her sire. While seeking refuge in a cave, Blake is attacked by the female vampire. Though it's difficult for them to forgive and forget the past, they try to put their differences aside. They still have a sense of loyalty to one another. They make an effort to repair their relationship though Melina is unaware of the number of enemies that her fledgling has acquired in her absence. With so many obstacles ahead of them, and Blake's enemies not far behind, they try to survive the danger, as well as each other.
