In 2014, seven horror writers were gifted with the name of a willing victim and told they could do horrible things to her name. “Amanda” suffered terrible nightmares at the hands of those glorious fiends. And she loved it. In 2015 six horror writers were gifted with a new name and they set to work crafting nightmares from everyday household appliances. Adwenia won the right to have this done, and now characters with her name get to make poor decisions, acquire questionable items, and eat some of the most – well, you’ll see – over and over again. Forever. Welcome to the second edition of Recurring Nightmares, the Special Raffle Prize of the annual Monster Mash for Literacy Bash thrown by the Great Lakes Association of Horror Writers (GLAHW) benefiting the Dominican and Siena Literacy Organizations in Detroit.
