Overview
Hello. My name is Tiffany Calderon, and I'm fifteen years old, a cute, intelligent, and popular sophomore at Jeff. K. Wilson High School. I play the clarinet in the school's marching band, and am involved in several clubs on campus, including the Chess Club and the Debate Team. I'm just your average, typical American teenager, with lots of friends, and even a boyfriend. See what I mean? I'm not crazy. I belong to two intellectual school clubs that will look prominent on my college applications. I'm musically talented. A lot of people like me. I wouldn't be as popular as I am if I were, and I certainly wouldn't have a boyfriend. Guys don't like crazy girls. I live with my sweet but annoying 7 year old little sister Allie, and our gentle, loving, distracted, overworked and former extremely Spiritualistic mother. I haven't seen my father since he abandoned us in the most cliche possible way. Who leaves their family in the middle of the afternoon under the pretense of "going to pick up a pack of cigarettes" nowadays? It wasn't the 80s, we didn't live in a trailer, and my dad didn't wear a mullet. They divorced four years ago. My mom sent Allie and I to counseling for over a year to "talk about our feelings in adjusting to the divorce." After my mom "grew out" of her Spiritualism phase, and we adjusted to life without Dad, our lives slowly began to resemble a normal family, whatever normal may be, anyhow. But what happened last night was definitely not normal.
