The Mystery Schools were invisible to the world, like Avalon, and kept secret in a higher dimension outside of time. They were found in various places on earth to teach enlightenment for a higher civilization on earth, to replace the brutal societies of suffering and injustice. This story is set in Nornaahaven, the Northern Mystery School presided over by the god, Odin (or Ravn, in his human form). Nornaahaven meant a haven from the goddesses of fate, the three Norns. It was here where humans could escape the judgment of those goddesses and change their destiny.Schoolteacher Eva Nielsen believes she is going to the big city of Havnsted to find a job after her father dies. Instead, she is diverted to Nornaahaven, the invisible town reputed by the local farmers to be bewitched. Eva finds out she was secretly born here but removed by her father for fear she would turn out to be a healer with power like her mother. Eva has the Sight or clairvoyance and has been brought to Nornaahaven for initiation. She becomes an initiate in the Mysteries under her Master, called Grandfather. She is also taught by the Seer Siv who trains her to replace her as Seer. There is no time, disease, or death in Nornaahaven until a crisis occurs that threatens the future of life on earth. The crisis is brought about by Knut Lokr, from the school of Black Magicians opposed to the Mystery Schools. He tries to make Eva break her vows and marry him. The human species have slowly been de-evolving because of the teachings of the Black Magicians. They hold human development back in envy because they have lost their own higher nature in their evil practices. They try to persuade others they too are evil and self-cursed like they are.The Masters of Gold are regenerating the lost human race, exemplified by the child, Greta. Greta walks with Angels and is given higher powers to heal others. She is attacked by those jealous of her power. Knut is close to destroying Nornaahaven and the work of the Masters of Gold when the head of the order, Kai Klemens, comes to defeat the Black Magicians and guide the earth to an ascension.Volume 1, The Angel Guides, is Eva's introduction to Nornaahaven and ends with her assuming the title, Seer of Riga. Volume 2, The Master, is Grandfather's teaching and preparing Eva to deal with the crisis of the town's fall to a lower dimension because of the Black Magician, Knut. Volume 3, Ascension, is the account of Eva's struggle to save Greta from dying in an orphanage and her learning the Higher Mysteries from Master Klemens. She becomes the first woman Master of Gold and returns the stolen female energies to earth.
