Overview

In 1725, the life of a Polish peasant in the isolated mountain village of Ciemny Gora wasn't as drab a scenario as one might suspect. Yes, life was short and misery abounded. But incredibly, there were some things to brighten one's day; sweeping a dirt floor, contracting typhus, contemplating the possibility of marauding, invading hordes. Confessions is written in alternate chapters of retrospect and introspect. Marek shows you a humorous side of life in 1725 and the serious side, contributing
