Tragon of Ramura, captain of the Orion, and his companion Yusef Ali Ahmed Nazir, journey north to the Ice Country to find the legendary Scorpion Woman. He must bring back her head in order to rid his island home of an evil sorcerer. But fate plays a cruel trick on Tragon when he discovers his intended mission cannot be accomplished without an agonizing sacrifice.
