Ben Carter spent the past year in an alcoholic stupor, unable to cope with the slaying of his wife and little girl. After the man behind their murder is declared innocent, Ben discovers that he has the power to summon revenants to assassinate his enemy. As Ben’s power grows, he calls upon more spirits to right the wrongs of what he sees as a bloated and impotent justice system. When a malevolent ghost escapes his control, Ben unwittingly releases history’s deadliest serial killer into today’s world. It’s up to everyman Ben to stop the madman, aided by an elderly paranormal scholar and a beautiful young medium.
