SEER A book by John Allinson SYNOPSIS When Albert Schneider inadvertently receives a letter addressed to a former occupant of his house and postmarked twenty years ago, he’s horrified to discover that the letter contains information relating to the conspirators behind the assassination of John F Kennedy in 1963, even worse, the letter is signed by the current president of the United States, a former US Army Colonel. The trouble is that the government want the letter back, and order the secret service to the small fishing village of Charlesville on the West Coast of Florida where Albert lives to try and retrieve it, and with orders to kill anyone who has read it, and to make matters worse, a government of the future, a hundred years in the future in fact, is also determined to solve the puzzle of who killed JFK, and send agent Harry Baskum back in time to find out what really happened and who did it. Hounded by agents from two time zones each determined to discover the truth, Albert finds himself whisked back and forth in time as Baskum and the present government push him almost to insanity in attempt to get him to reveal the contents of the letter. Seer questions the validity and interest in one of the greatest puzzles of the twentieth century to the generations who succeeded it, other than for the few who are determined to put the record straight at whatever cost, and those whose involvement could put their ambitions in jeopardy, and who would stop at nothing to stifle the truth.
