Shelby Dane RN, ER Night Nursing Supervisor gave a tired wave to Cindy as she passed the reception desk. After being stopped by several student nurses she finally made it to the breakroom and hoped no one was taking a break as she pushed open the door and gave a sigh of relief to find the room empty. Quickly entering the lounge, Shelby grabbed a blanket from a cabinet and sank into a comfortable recliner. She was sure she would fall instantly asleep but she put that out her mind as she started remembering how she had ended up in this small mountain town.On the assurance from her cousin Cora Mae that the slow pace and stress level working in a small hospital was so low, Shelby had resigned her nursing supervisor position in a big city hospital in Nashville and moved to the small mountain town of Rivers Edge, Tennessee, taking the position as night ER head nurse and nursing supervisor at Rivers Edge Community General Hospital. Smiling at what she was going to do to Miss Cora Mae when she got her hands on her, Shelby snuggled deeper in the chair and was just starting to doze off when she heard a loud noise and just about jumped out of the chair looking around realizing the loud noise was voices coming from the break room she shrugged and snuggled deeper in the chair and muttered “great, I can’t even get a few minutes peace in here. I might just as well get up and get some paper work out of the way. At least whoever those two morons are they have gone someplace else to argue.”Little did she know that a turn of events would make her job at the big Nashville hospital seem like a walk in the park when she butted heads with Detective David O’Rourke and a disgruntled ghost that wouldn’t believe he was dead. It seemed little ole Rivers Edge was set on making a name for its self.
