Overview

The world of Revna is filled with corruption and strife. Casting magic is taboo, and black magic is punishable by death. However, chemistry, a science that rivals magic in many ways, has risen as the world's guiding light to prosperity. Several years ago, In the nation of Lovria, A plague spread amongst its citizens, which mutated them into monsters reminiscent of the vampires and werewolves of legend. These infected people were no charming nobles, instead transforming into ravenous, feral beasts over time. Fortunately, after four years of quarantine, euthanasia, and mass hysteria, a treatment was developed for the plague, allowing the infected to retain their minds… But not before a fateful event known as The Culling; The mass euthenasia of the infected, occurred. The year is now 1830. The Holy Lovrian Inquisition serves as the nation’s domestic military, worshiping a god that they call “The One”. in reality, they protect the prosperous while leaving the destitute and infected to suffer in slums, also hunting down those born with the ability to sling spells. Arthur Holbrick is one such inquisitor, but he is different from the rest, His options having been to either join up or starve on the streets. He desperately tries to bring aid to his former home in the city slums; The Lower Quarter. Seeming to be stepped on at every turn, Arthur has become somewhat hopeless, nervous, and timid. But when a mangled body is found in the lower quarter, Arthur must face his fears to not only find the killer, but fight against those who want him dead
