Claire Lorraine Burnstien should have it all as a highly successful author, but something is keeping her back. Thomas was thought to be just a product of Claire’s diagnosed schizophrenia – a merciless, controlling, and possessive entity that torments her with both words and actions, but after her attempted suicide it becomes clear that he may be more real than anybody thought. The hallucination, in fact, is a monster leeching off her mind, waiting for the moment when he can incarnate a body with the help of a cult – the Last Sun – and burn down the world with everything, and Claire, in it. Time is running out for our main protagonist, and if Vincent can’t save them from the creature named “Thomas,” then neither will ever find peace and escape from their eternal run with the night.
