Overview

An Otherworldly Whodunit! Welcome to The Wickswood Inn, a habitat for the living and the dead. In 1976, on Halloween night, 12 eccentric people gather for a costumed séance to channel the spirit of the world’s greatest magician, Harry Houdini. The Wickswood Inn, a gothic-era hideaway for spiritualists and necromancers alike, is both renowned and feared for its annual gatherings, and is aptly cursed by its macabre origins of murder and mystery. Join in on the search with Abram Alabaster as he delves into the paranormal happenings enveloping the most infamous dwelling in Dyer Wakes’ history. Unbeknownst to Mr. Alabaster, he embarks on a spine-chilling tour that ushers him into the ghostly tragedies of both the past, present, and beyond. Who murdered the proprietor of The Wickswood Inn? What is the strange, forbidden link to cartomancy? And what ever happened to the child buried in the apple orchard from years bygone? The apparitions’ secrets comingle in a series of mind-twisting puzzles and esoteric clues strewn throughout the Inn’s cobweb-laced corridors and quarters. The quest will propel our protagonist into the occult’s darkest portals, leading towards the powers of divination inspired by the tarot. Along the trek of uncanny terror, readers will encounter an assemblage of characters in reverence to each of the Jungian archetypes and their intimate connection to supernatural entities. Will Mr. Alabaster survive long enough to solve the enigmatic occurrences inspired by the oracles? For him, and among the other guests in company on Halloween, magic is only truly an illusion…until it is real.
