Jerry and Tammy are twins who are born with the gift of clairvoyance. As children and adolescents they experiment with their gift, with some devastating results. When the pair reach adulthood, Tammy vows to leave well enough alone. But Jerry becomes obsessed with the study of ESP and paranormal activity. He completes an Honours degree in psychology then accepts a position in London as a clinical psychologist. He returns to his hometown some years later and experiments with some of his childhood friends, again with some frightening and unexpected results. Jerry's obsession leads him into some very dark places and releases some forces and energies that he never even imagined existed. He discovers things about himself, his past and his hometown friends that lead him to the point of suicide...
