Adam Keel's work at a Boston mental institution was conventional, but he enjoyed it. He was liked by his patients and admired by the other doctors. Then John Spier walked into his life and changed Adam forever. John Spier was a serial killer who claimed he had no control over his actions because he was a werewolf. As Adam probes deeper into the mind of his patient, he soon learns that his words are true. Adam discovers that he is the next in line to continue the bloodline and become a werewolf himself.
