Overview
Human remains found in a cave in Southern Colorado spark an investigation by the Sheriff. Some of the remains appear to be very old so a famous geologist/anthropologist from Colorado State University is called in to evaluate the strange site. The scientist and a deputy sheriff find sixteenth century Spanish soldiers in uniform, mummies of Native Americans, and a modern man gutted with a Spanish sword. The cave and its contents reveal a history of early Colorado exploration and the legend of a famous Comanche warrior named Cuerno Verde or Green Horn. Weird events trap the two investigators in the cave where they gradually unravel the mysteries of Jarosa Canyon. This is an imagined history of early Colorado and its transition to modern life. Geology, anthropology, Native Americans, history and paranormal activities tie together as the relationship develops between the two main characters.
