Needless to say the discovery puts an end to Seymour’s quiet life and the events that follow will leave you truly horrified!‘The writer’ tells the story of a struggling author. His agent sends him to the country for some peace and quiet to come up with some ideas and start writing again. He doesn’t find the peace and quiet he so desperately needs, instead he discovers something in the loft that is so...., well you’ll just have to read it!‘Belinda Brown’ tells the story of a young woman who appears to have everything under control. That’s what her work colleagues think anyway, but little do they know the real Belinda. Outside work Belinda is a very different person. and there is someone or ‘something’ that takes full advantage of that. Will Belinda ever be in control again?When Mary inherits a mirror and a little money from a distant aunt it is a pleasant surprise - or at least she thinks it is at the time. But the inheritance comes with a little extra that gives her many a sleepless night and a very nasty surprise! I hope these stories don’t give you sleepless nights so to finish with there is the slightly more humorous ‘Spare Parts’ which tells the story of Jim Blackthorne a farmer struggling to keep things going after the death of his wife. On the way home one day after going into town to pick up some parts for his tractor he stops on the road to pick something up that catches his eye. Later that night though he has cause to reach for his shotgun as there is something in his house that shouldn’t be there that he finds truly astounding.
