Years after the War of the Serpent Swords and the War of the lost, the Human Kingdoms grow ever stronger and richer. Their armies swell with the ranks of those seeking a better station in life. Cersa is one such soldier; once starving in the slums, stealing to survive, she had risen through the ranks to become a celebrated leader and hero. But in truth she is tired of the fighting and disgusted with her own people's greed and lust for power. It is only after witnessing a dark ritual meant to poison the very waters of the capital city that she realizes how far the kingdom has angered the natives of the land. It is then that she leaves everything behind and searches for a way to end the suffering and the war before it is too late. But in the end the crimes of her own people are thrown back at her and she is forced to ask the one question she has ignored all these long years... Are her people even worth saving?
