Haunting Poems is a story that begins in 1930’s British India and culminates in England, over forty years later. It is a revelation through the prism of child abuse. A chilling and disturbing journey into the realm of child abuse and child sexual abuse where the perpetrators are male and female. This book is prose and horror poetry exploring the journey of life, sanctity and spirituality, good and evil, forgiveness, education, misogyny and forced marriage in the Indian culture, child abuse, child sexual abuse and mental health.The poems have been described as "Powerful and Insightful."Christine wrote (via email) of reading Haunting Poems "The book is one that I will never forget reading, which shifts the ground and opens the mind and energises the being. It is brave and cathartic and beautifully produced, making it very accessible."The book has illustrations by kind permission of Phil Lockwood.
