Instead, they were blown off course by a storm and ended up shipwrecked on an unnamed island off the coast of Maine, one of nearly five thousand such islands.They’ve been there ever since, their numbers dwindling steadily, their minds unwinding with the years until they’re nearly feral.In the present day, the small crew of a low-budget pirate film has come to that same island, planning to use it as a location for three days of guerilla filming, camping out overnight so as not to attract unwanted attention by their comings and goings.But from the start, it’s a doomed venture.
