The beautiful white stallion had his own herd and they lived in relative peace until evil men entered their world and changed everything for them. The wildness could never be taken out of the stallion but he formed an amazing bond with James. Is James really the only one who can see this horse, or is he just a figment of his imagination. Also the stallion was last seen some 30 years ago, so how could it possibly be the same horse.John grew up in a single child home with his father Hannes. His father has a special gift for working with horses but events occur on their smallholding which John blocks out because of the loss of his beloved pony Honey. He also looses his father to cancer and because of this finds it difficult to share his inner-most thoughts, 30 years later married to Isabella, John has his own son James. James is a special needs child and John finds this extremely challenging. Isabella tries to guide John but as she has a very demanding job, really does not have that much time. She adores James but also struggles to know whether it is James' amazing imagination or reality that he is experiencing.After several frightening incidents on the smallholding will the adoption of James' own pony solve the problem and will it end the Phantom sightings.James is a young autistic boy who lives with his parents John and Isabella on a smallholding in Cape Town. John the father works from home and makes beautiful furniture while his wife Isabella has a very busy job. James is a handful and although John understands the makeup of an autistic child, he sometimes finds it very difficult to handle and cope with James. One day James wanders down to the edge of the Princess Vlei, and soon gets into trouble. A beautiful horse helps him but the only problem is, James is the only one who has ever seen this horse. The stage is set for a drama that plays itself out between the members of this small but very close family. They are torn apart by ghosts of the past that haunt them all in different ways. Life will never be the same again. In the end will James be able to convince his parents that he is telling the truth about Phantom the stallion of Princess Vlei.
