When family friend and international traveler and benevolent missionary Dr. George Worth would come home from his years of service, he would often return with a map he conveniently “found”, in order to lead the young children of the Sprunt family on a treasure hunt on the island under the light of the moon.But there may be a bit more to the story than that. There very well may be treasure there, still guarded by those trusted sailors that Captain Kidd left behind long before Wilmington even existed.
