Slowly being driven mad by the oppressive heat and the approaching one-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, a survivor of the storm attempts to hold on to the woman he loves by any means possible. After a lost weekend of drinking and drugs delivers him to a Voodoo shop in the ruins of the Ninth Ward, he discovers that even unending love may be had for a price, although it may ultimately be more than he is willing to pay.
