Black Canvas is a modern gothic thriller that propels readers through a maze of plot twists and turns that harkens to contemporary Black cinematic horror. Set in the 1980s, the take unfolds with a young, nonbinary coed venturing off to a private college in the New England hills. Given the chance of a lifetime to realize their dreams in a new promising world, our hero/ine quickly learns that all is not at it seems on the surface of polite society, as they uncover disturbing details about the campus’ history. Each new discovery sends them reeling down a rabbit hole of shocking revelations that turn their dream into a living nightmare. The question is can they put all the pieces together and solve the riddle in time before the campus consumes their soul?
