A new world has been born. The Abyss has awakened. Humanity has changed. Millions have escaped the confines of their physical bodies and embraced cyberspace, achieving lives of leisure and enjoyment. In a world of endless possibilities and few physical restraints, virtual games have become one of the most prominent forms of entertainment. But for those inhabiting cyberspace as their own, eventually even the most wondrous environments lose their luster, and boredom sets in. An invitation will change all that. For a select few, the Abyss calls to them. Promising an entirely new world for only the most experienced and capable, the Abyss poses challenges like no other. The rules are simple. All that enter are volunteers. They will face punishing and horrifying monstrosities in their new world. And if they are unable to continue, either through frustration or fear, they may leave, never to return. The first steps on the journey have opened. For those willing to brave the belly of the beast, the greatest challenge awaits to be conquered…if they don’t quit first.
