No one knows this better than the inhabitants of Wentworth Hollow living on the fringes of the ancient woodland. In Wentworth Hollow the denizens know that the Sherwood Forest is home and sanctuary for the Fair Folk, elemental beings that have inhabited the Earth since before the time of mankind, powerful beings that harbour ill-feeling against the species that forced them into hiding for millennia. To keep the Fair Folk from their doorstep the denizens of Wentworth Hollow offer monthly sacrificial rites to them in exchange for their safety and peace... No one goes out after dark...That is until an unwitting couple move to the Hollow.Enter Vixen Voorhees and her boyfriend, Gabe, the newest denizens to Wentworth Hollow. Vixen is a wildlife photographer and a new-age witch, Gabe a small time poet with a an infinity for nature. As the pair begin exploring the wildwoods they see strange and otherworldly things that they refuse to believe are there. When they start getting dire warnings from their new neighbours they foolishly ignore them as superstitious yokels. Life is about to get turned on its head for Vixen and Gabe, if only they'd heed the warnings.The witch is the victim in this faery-tale...Fairfolk of the Oaks is inspired by the poem 'The Fairies' by William Allingham, mixed with an obsession with Brian Froud's Fairies and a honest to goodness belief in the elemental beings that live deep in the woods. Stir all that together with lashings of addiction to horror and a love of creature features, bake for a few months and you get... Fairfolk of the Oaks.
