A noble warrior and his band of professional soldiers are on a critical mission to unite four cities by escorting emissaries who will establish trade agreements and safer routes between the cities. On the remotest part of their journey, an evil sorcerer and his army of orcs attack them. Using powerful magic and surprise, the monsters slaughter the soldiers and leave the warrior for dead. He awakens to find he is lying on a small cot in a tiny darkened room in an old cabin. His wounds are so severe that he is unable leave the cot. He fears the wounds could kill him, but at the same time, he worries that something much more sinister may be happening in the small cabin. He realizes a mysterious and frightening stranger is caring for him, and he wonders if his caregiver is keeping him alive for nefarious reasons, or is the stranger actually trying to heal him? Will he survive his wounds, or will this encounter lead to something inescapably evil? Or, might it turn into something more unexpected and profound than he could have imagined? "Fate" is Book 1 of The Warrior and the Witch Trilogy, the beginning of a fantasy series that sets the stage for life-changing and completely unexpected events that continue in Book 2 (due for release in May 2018). This book is recommended for mature audiences due to some graphic violence. Note: A Detailed Map is included in Book 1.
