Young Brittany finally found a friend in the bizarre creature that she calls Mr. Bright-Eyes. He loves and takes care of her. He protects her from the monster that come to take her away. As she grows, she learns that the monsters in her life are far too real. As is Mr. Bright-Eyes. Britt begins to learn to trust some people and to differentiate those that she can trust from those that mean to do her harm. Mr. Bright-Eyes is not learning this lesson, though. Soon Britt finds herself the victim of a supernatural obsession. Can she get out from beneath the oppressive thumb of her would-be protector or will Britt find herself in a psychological prison that she will never escape?
