The cult vampire B-movie 'The Vampires of Bloody Island' started life very quietly in a handfull of British cinemas in the summer of 2009, where having not much in the way of a publicity budget and no major stars in the cast it attracted little publicity.However, those that saw the film loved it, and word quickly spread on the internet about this quirky low-budget vampire comedy movie and it's fresh original style. So strong was the fan feeling for the film that eager vampire movie fans mounted an email campaign to persuade independent film label The Weird World of Wibbell to release the film on DVD ahead of its planned February 2010 release date.
