Overview
The cult vampire B-movie 'The Vampires of Bloody Island' started life very quietly in a handfull of British cinemas in the summer of 2009, where having not much in the way of a publicity budget and no major stars in the cast it attracted little publicity. However, those that saw the film loved it, and word quickly spread on the internet about this quirky low-budget vampire comedy movie and it's fresh original style. So strong was the fan feeling for the film that eager vampire movie fans mounted an email campaign to persuade independent film label The Weird World of Wibbell to release the film on DVD ahead of its planned February 2010 release date. They succeeded, with Wibbell rushing to release the DVD a couple of months early to meet the fans demands. It was also later released in the USA.Internet chat-rooms and the cult film press raved about the film's quirky humour, it’s tongue-in-cheek devotion to the vampire genre and crazy cast of vampires, demons, werewolves and zombies, plus the film's exciting soundtrack, which showcased some of the biggest bands on the Goth circuit including Inkubus Sukkubus and Theatres des Vampires.Interest in the film continued to grow. Then, following an article on the website for the UK TV listings magazine 'TV Times', the enigma of 'The Vampires of Bloody Island' Party was born, with fans hosting their own 'Vampires of Bloody Island' events. The film suddenly took off, with websites and magazines in Britain and America proclaiming 'The Vampires of Bloody Island' as a cult hit movie. It now sells strongly on DVD around the world, where it sits proudly among the DVD collections of vampire fans and cult film aficionados, plus being studied by aspiring film makers and script writers everywhere as an example of what can be achieved on a small film making budget. Here, for the first time, you can read the whole movie screenplay, line by quirky line, laugh by bloody laugh, illustrated with actual screenshots from the film.Get drawn in to the wonderful unique and exciting humour of 'The Vampires of Bloody Island'.
