Forty years ago, a demon visited the small town of Devonshire, Illinois. And it never left. It waited, hidden amongst them all, pretending to be one of them, allowing its hunger for them to fester and grow. The demon waits no longer. Its hunger can no longer be contained. It is up to high schooler, Joe Madsen and his friends to stop the creature on Halloween night before it can completely consume the town in flames. But how do you stop a demon?
