I've never understood faith, really. I thought I did. I loved God. I thought if I followed him, I would have a good life. And I suppose I did. Until my best friend died when I was thirteen. I kept asking myself why she had to die. I realized that God was worthless. God was nothing. So I turned to the devil, welcomed him into my twisted life. I could never resist the devil's whispers in my ear. At first, I fought it. But then I stopped fighting it. I listened to him. Because I was too far past saving.
