In the serene mountainous area of the Pacific northwest hidden away from everything lies a town called Rosegrant. During Kelsie’s spiral into the abyss she learns of a spellbook. She doesn’t believe in the occult; she doesn’t believe the book to be real. Kelsie figures if it is real it could be the answer to all her wishes. She could get revenge on all those who wronged her and most importantly she would have Chase to herself—just as she imagined it. The first time she uses the book—awful events unfold. For Kelsie Mears, her nightmare has just begun. It would take the help of a clairvoyant named Jessica Slaves to try and contain the sinister forces that have been unleashed. The thirty-nine-year-old woman has experience with the spellbook as her mother used it when she were just a child. Jessica knows Kelsie is not the only one in danger as Rosegrant and possibly the world could be at risk if the evil is not contained and soon. The hell gate is open, and the evil is roaming free. Rosegrant is compelling. It’s not just witches, occult, and demons. It has a little bit of everything. It is all you would ever want in a horror story and more. Jason Beam’s first book is a true masterpiece of classic horror. It’s a fun ride that you’re sure to enjoy. Give it a go. What do you have to lose? It’s a good read. It really is. Edited version.
