Overview
Aishe knew she was destined to fall in love with a strong warrior. She could never forget the glimpse she held close to her heart of her soul mate’s strong, chiseled face— and knew without question— he wasn’t a Cursed warrior. Thrust into a world she couldn’t imagine existing, she found herself falling head over heels for one of them— but destiny would prove more fickle than she could bear, and the very man she dreamed of would soon become a nightmare. The moment the deadly warrior Armand saw Aishe his world stopped spinning. Forced to live among the most depraved of his kind, he had long since grown accustomed to a life much harder than Aishe could ever imagine. Knowing the price of keeping her safe could mean losing her forever, he did the only thing he could— he let her go.A mystery older than the Cursed warriors themselves brings them back together, but is it too late for the destined mates to mend their stubborn hearts?Excerpt:“You have no idea how much it hurts to want something, desire something so badly you’d die without it. I need you, Aishe. I’ve needed you every day since the first night I met you, but you’re terrified of me, and I can’t take the risk of hurting us both.”She shivered realizing goose flesh erupted on every inch of her skin. She swallowed the coarse lump scratching its way down her throat, and drew in a deep breath. She couldn’t remember wanting anything as much as she wanted Armand, and hearing the longing in his words made the passion she felt every day since meeting him appear weak and minor in comparison. The desire flooding her system as she stared into his eyes gripped her heart in a bruising vise, and it felt almost too much to bear. Rising onto trembling legs, she trudged toward the back door to the house. Just before engaging the latch she turned and met his heated gaze. “I know more than you think about wanting something,” she whispered, “and I’m not scared of you.”Her voice trailed off and she turned back toward the door. Before she could slide the doors open, a hard chest pressed against her back, and she found herself trapped between a wall of muscle and glass. A gasp found its way from her lips, and warmth erupted all over her back and arms, as his hands descended. He gripped her wrists, sliding his hands upward, eager to feel every inch of her. Both of his hands reached her shoulders at the same time, and his grip sent tendrils of pressure and heat to her bones. He massaged her tense muscles until she felt like a lump of clay under his expert hands.“Tell me to stop,” he growled in her ear, wrapping his lips around her lobe, pulling it into his mouth and releasing it with a soft, wet popping sound. “Tell me I disgust you.”She shivered, but shook her head. She wanted him, she had never wanted anything more. Her fists clenched, locked on each side of her body, as his warm moist tongue forged a path from her ear to the back of her neck, almost distracting enough to make her forget the tugs against her stomach as he liberated her shirt from her pants. His wide palm spread against her stomach and he jerked his arm pressing her back against his chest. “Don’t be afraid,” he whispered, groaning as his fingers slid lower gaining entry below her waist band. His fingertips raised goosebumps and won a moan from her lips as they slid between her silky panties and her soft skin.“I’m not,” she whimpered, rising to the tips of her toes as his teeth captured her shoulder in a teasing nibble. She sucked in a strangled breath and gripped his thigh with her sharp nails winning a groan from his lips.“I can smell it in your blood. You were right. I’m not a knight in shining armor.”
