Accepting that life is falling apart, with his job ailing him and his fiancé flaunting her unfaithfulness, Jani decides to ditch the daily grind and drama for the simple life. He sets out for one of his haunts from adolescence, a small coastal town in Delaware, where he intends to rekindle the happiness he once knew there. Though he has left his troubles behind in favor of this new life, he is drawn into a town where nests of flesh and twitching corpses mired in the marshlands are but the edge of a consuming strangeness. Jani soon finds himself engulfed in troubles that make his former life feel like a brief, simple dream.
