Overview

The entire planet was a mess. There was mass pollution, mass consumption, and mass murder of pretty much every living creature – pressed and canned into something and anything useful and necessary to humans through extended shelf life and reversible options: all could be frozen and were perfect for parties. At the turn of the decade, the human race faced extinction. The virus that ended it for us was thoughtfully engineered by an alien. The universal council of creatures (UCOC) appointed a man of Asian descent to go down to planet Earth and fix all of its worldly problems in a humane sort of way.Wong secretly entered Earth’s atmosphere and landed on an island that was quarantined due to radiation fallout from a nearby international nuclear weapons testing site. All 500 of the island’s residents were so badly infected and disfigured that they had been banished from society for life. Once a month a ship would come in from the north and drop off fresh drinking water and rations so that the people would survive. Little ones would keep watch for its arrival then sound a siren. As soon the siren sounded, everyone on the island would run south so as not to been seen by the ship’s captains or crew. The islanders were so disfigured and ugly from the nuclear fall-out that anyone looking on them would just die.Living as human outcasts, they naturally suffered, not only from their own disgustingness, but also from emotional stuff like being offended and rejected. So, when Wong arrived on the scene and didn’t pass away from their grossness, they had a few concerns of their own to think about. His just arriving unannounced out of nowhere was strange to them, but more so overwhelming because none of them had been in contact with anything human since their expulsion from civilization. For the first time in a while for some and the first time ever for a few, they all collectively had something constructive to think about.
